Introduction

Hello,
My name is Timo Parkkola and I am a postgraduate student in literary
studies at the university of Turku, Finland. At the moment I am a teacher
of artistic writing at the Raisala College. My main interests in research
are contexts of interpretation and theory of reading. Right now I am
working on my dissertation called "Fields of Interpretation". It is a study
of reception and interpretation about a few Finnish novels. In my thesis I
am trying to isolate the ideological background of various interpretations
and study how these interpretations may affect interpretations coming after
them.
