Hi All:

I signed up to the list a while ago but I am just coming out of lurkdom to introduce myself.  I am an Instructor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and my MA is in Professional Writing/Literature.  I mainly teach gen ed writing courses and am really interesting in the ways that my students involve themselves in the community of writers that I try to establish in my classes.  I don't have much experience with discourse analysis perse, but will be starting a PhD program in Rhet/Comp in 2 years and am hoping that the list will provide me with a rudimentary picture of the issues I might be faced with in that program.
