Introduction

[Jeff Santarlasci]

My name is Jeff Santarlasci, an MA TESL student at the University
of Idaho. I'm taking a course in "Discourse Analysis" this semester
and have signed-on to the listserv to see what's "hot" and what's
"not." I have a background in teaching and an undergrad degree in
philosophy. I speak Spanish (very rusty) and Mandarin Chinese
(quite well). Am currently reading Gumperz, Schiffrin and a
discourse analysis book for language teachers by McCarthy. See
y'all in the funny papers.
