Introduction

Hi All:

I'm an assistant professor in the communication dept. at the University of
Massachusetts-Amherst where I teach interpersonal communication and
communication theory.  I received my MA and Ph.D. from the Communication
Arts Dept. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in interpersonal
communication.  My research interests are ethnomethodological theory (an
oxymoron to some EMists, I know), conversation analytic (and particularly
culturally contexted conversation analysis) methodology and research,
turn-taking, and conceptual analysis (from a Wittgensteinian perspective).
