Introduction

[Matt Sherwood]

I'm a second-year Master's degree student at Texas A&M, currently immersing
myself in the field of discourse studies for the first time.  My research
interests are widely varied; recently I seem to have focused on literature
of the 20th Century, more by accident than design.

 I developed an interest in rhetoric and discourse studies after my first
semester of teaching undergraduates, which fostered a sudden and slightly
urgent fascination with the composition process.
