Dear Bruce McComiskey,

Although she's more of a philosopher/theologian than linguist, Mary Daly
has written from a feminist perspective on themes similar to the ones you
spoke of (viz nominalizations, passives, etc.).

It doesn't sound like you're planning on doing a feminist analysis per se,
but I imagine you could gain a lot of insights from the feminist
literature on how others are marginalized through language.
