Subject: Call: presenters/papers- (Sociolinguitic Symposium 2000)
At this time, my coorganizer and I would like to invite 1-2 more speakers
to join us in presenting a colloquium in Bristol, England (Sociolinguistic
Symposium 2000). The focus of the colloquium is the expression of identity
by immigrants in discourse. The data may be any kind of discourse, i.e.,
life stories, narratives, etc., and analyses may refer to different social
contexts, and countries. At the moment we have papers on immigrants in the
U.S. and Europe and we would like to add one or two contributions.
If you, or someone you know, might be interested, please email an abstract
indicating your objectives, data, methodology etc. to me at the following
email address by May 22: parkerm at gusun.georgetown.edu
The deadline for colloquium submissions is June 1, so please reply as
quickly as possible.
Thank you.
Wilma Parker
