SOS - Structure of Acacdemic Lectures

Hi all

I'm doing some research about academic lectures in English in non-native settings. I'm wondering if there might be a relatively stable top level generic structure (perhaps along Swalesian lines or otherwise) for this type of discourse. Any suggestions and/or help in locating references will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
