ONE DAY CONFERENCE ON WORKPLACE STUDIES

Friday 27th October 2000, Department of Sociology, Manchester Metropolitan
University in conjunction with the Language Study Group of the British
Sociological Association  (Registered charity no 1080235).

The biggest growth area in ethnomethodology and conversation analysis in
recent years has been applied research in the inter-disciplinary fields of
human-computer interaction and computer supported co-operative work
(workplace studies).  This one-day conference at Manchester Metropolitan
University will bring together researchers in these fields, and offer an
opportunity to look critically at their achievements.

Concluding discussion

The conference fee will be 10 (9 for BSA members) including light
refreshments. Lunch is not included. Cheques payable to the British
