anyone interested in appraisal analysis at the discourse semantic level
will be interested in the upgraded appraisal website which
has just recently been revamped upgraded made anew added to dishied
up and generally reworked somewhat.

appraisal theory springs directly from work done in genre analysis
(of the so-called 'sydney school') and in systemic functional
linguistics. although grammarians are not always convinced of its
efficacy - citing difficulty in the replicability of analyses done
using this tool - for others, the orientation to semantic instability
and inter-stratal tension is a plus.
