By way of the Language Testing List...

The National Foreign Language Center (NFLC) at the University of Maryland, as
part of its LangNet project, is launching a series of online instructional
modules aimed at helping government linguists understand a new suite of
foreign language proficiency tests and meet the standards they establish.
While the focus is currently on Modern Standard Arabic, Korean, Spanish,
Chinese and, Persian Farsi, we are interested in all languages.

Therefore, we are looking for language specialists who are familiar with the
Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale, particularly as it applies to
text, and experienced test developers who understand stimuli in languages
other than English. We are looking for highly professional specialists who
will require a minimum of training.

We are seeking individuals to find and submit suitable language samples, as
well as individuals to write instructional items or tasks to accompany such
material. While much of this work could be done at home in your free time, a
modest commitment of time on task at the center would also be required. The
compensation package for this work is generous and competitive. If you would
like to pursue this opportunity, kindly send a CV that specifies your relevant
experience to:
