We invite papers/panels on Teacher Education/Pedagogy for the 36th
Annual meeting of the College English Association. Members of CEA are a
collegial bunch, and we welcome participation by folks outside English
and by graduate students. This year's conference theme is "Spaces." As
expressed in the General Call for Papers, proposals may interpret the
conference theme broadly, including-but not limited to-the following
. Academic spaces
. Colonial spaces
. Contested spaces
. Cultural spaces
. Cyberspace
. Domestic spaces
. Environmental spaces
. Gendered spaces
. Liminal spaces
. Mythic spaces
. Private spaces
. Psychic spaces
. Public spaces
. Ritual spaces
. Rural spaces
. Space and identity
. Space and subjectivity
. Temporal spaces
. Textual spaces
. Urban spaces
. Virtual spaces
. Writing spaces
In all, feel free to address the notion of "Space" however you see fit.
Proposals should include the following information:

Institutional Affiliation/s (if applicable)
Mailing Address (including zip code)
Phone number:
Email address
Title for the proposed presentation/panel
Abstract of no more than 500 words
A-V needs, if any
Special needs, if any
For panels, indicate a title for the group and include abstracts of all
papers and contact information for all participants. Deadline for
papers and panels is October 25.
Please Submit proposals by e-mail, fax or regular mail by October 25th.
If you e-mail a proposal, please paste it into the body of the email
message, rather than attaching a separate file. Note that to preserve
time for discussion, CEA limits presentations to 15 minutes.
