The 15th International Circle of Korean Linguistics (ICKL) Conference will be
held at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, during July 10-14,
2006. This conference will cover all aspects of Korean linguistics and language
study, including Phonetics, Phonology, Syntax, Semantics, Typology, Discourse
Analysis, Sociolinguistics, Language Acquisition, Historical Linguistics, Korean
Language Teaching, Semiotics, Stylistics and Translation. The deadline for
abstract submission is Nov 30, 2005.

The International Circle of Korean Linguistics (ICKL) is pleased to announce
that the 15th ICKL Conference will be held at Universidad Autonoma de
Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, during July 10-14, 2006. We invite abstracts for
twenty-minute talks with a ten-minute discussion on any aspect of Korean
linguistics and language study, including Phonetics, Phonology, Syntax,
Semantics, Typology, Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics, Language Acquisition,
Historical Linguistics, Korean Language Teaching, Semiotics, Stylistics and
Translation.
Abstracts should not exceed two single-spaced pages including data and
references. The text of the abstract should be suitable for duplication in the
meeting handbook, single-spaced throughout, with no blank space between
paragraphs. Leave 1 inch for left, right, top and bottom margins. The font
should be either Times or Times New Roman 10-point. The abstract itself should
not bear the author's name but only the title of the paper.
We strongly encourage submissions by e-mail (either as text or as formatted
Microsoft Word attachments). Abstracts should be sent to the following e-mail

Please use 'ICKL Abstract' as the Subject header and include the information in
(1) - (7), which should constitute the body of the message.

Following the success of WSS1 and WSS2, Temple University is pleased to announce
that it will host the Third International Workshop on Spanish Sociolinguistics
(WSS3).

Abstracts for presentations based on original sociolinguistic research analyzing
Spanish data or data from contact situations between Spanish and other languages
are requested for 20 minute presentations. Abstracts should be attached to an
email message sent to the following address (WSS3temple.edu); they must be
anonymous and should not exceed 500 words in length. Please include the name and
the affiliation of the author(s) in the body of the email message. The deadline
for abstract submission is December 1, 2005. Notice of acceptance or rejection
will be sent by January 1, 2006. Selected papers will be published by Cascadilla
Proceedings Project.
