New panel to take over exam review

Errors seen as too hard for NIET to fix

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) will form a new panel which will take 
over the job of reviewing this year's university admission examination results 
from the National Institute of Educational Testing (NIET) after the agency 
failed twice to correct mistakes in the scores of hundreds of students. Pavich 
Thongroj, secretary-general of the HEC, said the panel would be made up of 
education experts from various universities with experience in organising 
exams. The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Ministry will also 
be on the panel, which will hold its first meeting on Monday.
