Activities to promote English

UNIVERSITI Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) organised a series of English language-
related activities in all its faculties recently. 

Department of Modern Languages acting head Kemmy Foo Kam Mee said: “The 
programme was aimed at promoting the use of the English language among the 
UTAR community, especially the new students.  

“It was our goal to enhance their use of the English language through a 
variety of activities such as the impromptu speech competition, scrabble 
competition, drama script-writing competition, poetry recitation competition, 
public speaking demonstration and free style debate competition,” she said.
