> This symposium will explore how different fields of study are integrated to
> shed new light upon various aspects and components of bodies and languages
> in motion.  This year’s plenary speaker will be acclaimed sociologist John
> O’Neill from York University-Toronto.

> We welcome proposals for 20-minute presentations in English that integrate
> literature, linguistics, cultural studies or any other discipline with the
> following themes and topics:   
> •	Modern and Contemporary Bodies: the diasporic body, the racialized body,
> the modified body. 
> •	Resisting Bodies: the martyred body, the tortured body.
> •	Protean Bodies:  the hermaphroditic and other versatile bodies; the
