HEC Announces Fellowships for English Language Teaching 

ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 :The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced 
Fellowships for the long term courses of Masters/Diploma in English Language 
Teaching for the faculty members of public sector universities and 
institutions of higher learning of Pakistan. 

The Fellowships have been made available through HECs English Language Reforms 
Project. 

The fellowships would be awarded on the basis of merit based nominations and 
selection by the institutions of higher education offering M.A. Linguistics, 
M. Sc. Applied Linguistics, M.A. TEFL, M.A. ELT, and diploma in ELT, ADP TEFL 
(AKU) and ICELT / COTTEC (SPELT). 

The training would be focused on the Professional Development of English 
Language Teachers and would cover tuition fee only. 

The HEC has announced that full time English language and subject teachers 
serving in public sector universities, degree-awarding institutions and 
colleges are eligible to apply for the Fellowships. 

The selected candidates would have to serve the institution for two years 
immediately after the completion of the course. The applicants have been asked 
to visit HEC website www.hec.gov.pk for registration and further details in 
this regards.
