Call for Papers

The Canadian Association for Japanese Language Education (CAJLE) invites
submission of papers to be presented at its CAJLE 2006 Annual Conference,
which will be held in Toronto from August 25-28. Topics may include but are
not limited to Japanese linguistics, second language acquisition, and
Japanese language pedagogy as well as reports on innovative teaching. Papers
are scheduled to be presented during the first two days (Aug. 25-26, subject
to change). Individuals or groups with papers to propose should send the
following information by e-mail or fax to the address below: 1) paper title
(both in Japanese and English), 2) one-page double-spaced abstract (in
Japanese), and 3) name(s) of the presenter(s) (in both Japanese and
English), 4) one-page bio of the presenter(s) (in Japanese and English), and
5) contact information, including email addresses. The deadline for
submissions is April 30, 2006. The time allocated for each paper will be 30
minutes. We also welcome presentations as a group on a particular theme.
Presentations should be given in Japanese. Presentations in English may be
accepted under some circumstances. Information of CAJLE can be found at www.
