Subject: Women in Linguistics Mentoring Alliance (WILMA)
As the academic year starts (at least, for many of us), I'd like to
take the opportunity to remind you about WILMA, Women in Linguistics
Mentoring Alliance. Please let all of the women in your incoming
graduate class know about us!
WILMA provides women in Linguistics with mentors to help them with
general survival skills and advice, pairing junior women with
relatively more senior women at different institutions to create
ongoing mentoring relationships. WILMA is entirely web-based, and
can accomodate one-on-one or group mentoring.
Please visit our website: http://ling.wisc.edu/wilma
WILMA is a project of the Committee on the Status of Women in
Linguistics (COSWL), Linguistic Society of America.
