U.S.-born don't learn the language easily

WASHINGTON -- According to U.S. government figures, English is the second 
language for approximately 5.5 million students in the United States, nearly 
one-tenth of the total U.S. student body. By 2025, one of every four students 
in this country's public school system is expected to initially be limited in 
English proficiency.
