Teaching method reveals institutional bias

"Institutional bias" and "racism" is what Waikato University's Te Kotahitanga 
programme reveals about schools, the Maori Party claims - but its education 
spokesperson still wants more investment in the programme. 


On Thursday, Professor Russell Bishop and Maori Affairs Minister Parekura 
Horomia released research results from the professional development project for 
422 teachers in 12 schools which resulted in increased performance in numeracy 
and literacy by Maori students.
