'United Nations' of learning convenes in Japan

Representatives from almost 50 schools hailing from 6 English-speaking 
countries plied their best educational offerings at the "Ryugaku Journal World 
Study Abroad Fair" that caravanned across Japan last week.

Thousands of foreign student wannabes visited the week-long expo that started 
in Tokyo on May 13, then moved southwest through Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

Visitors to the expo were able to walk around the schools' booths -- arranged 
by country -- and talk to independent advisors and counselors, then go right 
ahead book their overseas adventure if they managed to settle on a course that 
suited their budget and needs.
