Advanced Assistant, Associate, Full Professor  

 

The Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, seeks scholar in Second Language Education with a research focus on any aspect (social, linguistic or cognitive) of the English as a second language learning, L2 literacy, second language development, and teaching. The position will be a tenure track appointment at the rank of Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Professor with a start date of August 25, 2008.  

 

Research focus on any aspect (social, linguistic or cognitive) of English as a second language learning and teaching; L2 literacy, second language development and socio-cognitive approaches desirable. A record of publications and teaching commensurate with appointment at the rank of advanced assistant professor or higher. 
Expertise related to the design and methodology of innovative second language learning and literacy environments, including those of young English language learners in K-12 settings highly desirable. Demonstrated excellence in the professional development of second language teachers across different classrooms, cultures and educational systems. 
Experience in successful grant writing desirable.
