Job: Applied Linguistics/English, Ming Chuan University

The English Language Center at Ming Chuan University (MCU), Taipei/Taoyuan, Taiwan is looking for 4 candidates at Assistant/Associate Professor level for full-time positions along the following lines: 

(a) will have doctorate degree in Applied Linguistics/Second Language Acquisition/English or related field in hand by December 2006 
(b) have good command of oral and written English 
(c) have experience in teaching English as a foreign language 
(d) display research potential 

The teaching load for Asst/Assc Professors is 9 hours per week. The monthly salary is approximately NT$63,000/74,000 plus research and New Year's bonuses. Faculty are expected to fulfill some administrative duty and support all activities of MCU. They are also expected to teach some courses for additional pay in the University Extension Program.
