Texas educators split over teaching English basics

I showed the article to one of my 11th grade English
classes this week.  The majority of those students
responded with mild to moderate outrage, decrying the
power of such a board of people to make such
decisions.  Most telling was one remark: "Nowhere in
their list of [self] qualifications is
'college-educated.'"
