New Applied Linguistics Ph.D. at Arizona State University

Arizona State University is pleased to announce that student applications are being accepted for a brand new Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. The new program represents a university-wide collaboration of faculty in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, among other units.

The Applied Linguistics Ph.D. Program at ASU focuses on simultaneous and developmental (child and adolescent) bilingualism. Applicants may select among five program concentrations: (1) Bilingualism; (2) English as an International Language; (3) Language Planning and Policy; (4) Educational Linguistics; and (5) Indigenous Language Education.

Applications for admissions in the fall, 2008, semester may be submitted between approximately February 11 (estimated) and February 29.
