Starting Salary: $60,000 to $65,000

Duties: The National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland seeks individuals to join a team of specialists in second language acquisition to provide guidance to materials developers in different languages for the current LangNet production cycle. Title and compensation are commensurate with qualifications. The job has two key components: 1) Working closely with NFLC's foreign language consultants to create e-learning language materials in accordance with current research, NFLC specifications and a measurable production plan; and 2) Participating in/assisting with ongoing National Foreign Language Center project design and development

Qualifications: MA or PhD in second/foreign language acquisition/education; experience with language teaching, computer-assisted instruction and online materials development (with focus on reading and listening).
