Welsh schooling is available to all
In response to Dan O'Neill's opinion piece in the South Wales Echo yesterday, Meirion Prys Jones, chief executive of the Welsh Language Board, gives his view on Welsh language education in the capital...
CARDIFF is the fastest growing European city, a cosmopolitan and dynamic capital for Wales where multiculturalism and language diversity is celebrated and cherished.

The language has seen a massive increase in the capital in recent years, with an ever increasing need for Welsh medium schools. "Shwmai?" and "Diolch" will be heard even more than usual this summer, with the Eisteddfod coming to Pontcanna Fields in the first week of August.
Welsh medium education has boomed in and around the city in recent years with more and more families from all kinds of different backgrounds wanting their children to grow up bilingually.
