Linguist consultants are needed to review listening and reading comprehension test items in Korean. The project provides three-to-four days of paid orientation and training in Monterey, CA. The test item reviews are done at home on computer using Excel and then returned by Email. Additional test review work in 2009 is a strong possibility.
This work requires an excellent command of spoken and Korean, as well as strong verbal and written American English skills (grammar, vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, and spelling). Consultants' work products are prepared in English. Advanced professional proficiency in Korean listening/reading comprehension is required, and will be verified by a language proficiency test.
Candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the U.S. and have a high speed Internet connection.
Compensation: $320 per day during training, plus travel, lodging, and meals. $15 per item reviewed for typically 300-350 items with a summary report. Work will be done over a 10-15 week period.
Please contact the Project Manager, Mr. Jorge Salazar at machali at pacbell.net <mailto:LhartG at comcast.net> . Include CV or resume highlighting language teaching or testing experience and contact info.
