LANGUAGES & BUSINESS 2009
In a modern, globalised world, multilingualism and intercultural competence are essential components for successful and efficient communication. Studies have shown that employers who invest in their employees' language skills reap the benefits - this should provide a sustainable basis for lasting international business relations and the positive effect on productivity and export are clearly evident. Furthermore, it has become clear that the English language is no longer the only catalyst here.
The 8th Conference on Languages & International Business Communication in Düsseldorf will show how businesses and educational institutions are implementing multilingualism strategically. According to the principle of "learning form the best", practitioners from corporate groups, SMEs, schools and universities will show how foreign languages and intercultural competence can be effectively conveyed and aligned to specific target groups. A wide spectrum of topics and case studies will be presented and discussed in workshops, lectures and working groups. The conference will cover central themes ranging from the challenges of quality assurance to innovative learning tools, methods, tests and current research.
The 8th Conference on Languages and International Business Communication takes place from June 15th - 17th 2009 at the Lindner Congress Hotel in Düsseldorf. The conference provides an ideal forum for companies, educators and training providers to exchange ideas at an international level.
The exhibition which accompanies the conference provides the traditional meeting point for conference participants and market leaders in the field of language training. Why not take advantage of this opportunity to network and meet new contacts in a friendly atmosphere?
The conference languages will be German and English.
