No shutting down English schools: govt

BANGALORE: The Suprme Court's judgment on Tuesday must have brought
smiles to thousands of English medium schools in the state. But they
will carry  the derecognition tag, says the government. R G Nadadur,
principal secretary for primary and secondary education, told TOI: "We
will go ahead as per the order. There is no scope for interpretation.
All the schools that were running without recognition will not be
closed down. But they will remain with the tag of derecognition till
the case is finally disposed of.''
