Dear Colleague,

This letter invites you to participate in a short (20 minute) survey of the content of courses titled Second Language Acquisition.

If you previously taught or are currently teaching a Second Language Acquisition (SLA) course at either the graduate or undergraduate level anywhere in the world, you are invited to participate in a survey entitled ?The Nature of Second Language Acquisition Courses?.  The study is being conducted by Elaine K. Horwitz and Hayriye Kayi-Aydar of the University of Texas at Austin, Foreign Language Education Program.

The purpose of this study is to understand the content of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) courses offered in different programs and provide an empirically-based foundation for future development of these courses. Your participation in this survey will contribute to a better understanding of what many are already doing and offer guidance in future decisions.
