Foreign language instruction handicaps the San
The Southern Africa San Education Forum (SASEF) says members of indigenous San minorities are handicapped in their quest for socio-economic development due to the fact that their children are educated through the medium of languages of dominant groups.
According to SASEF-Namibia Information and Publicity Officer, /Awebahe //Hoëseb, foreign languages are imposed on San children as medium of instruction and as language subjects in the formal curricula of education systems of the countries where they are domiciled.
