Connecting with Afghans through language 

 

Nelson Mandela once said, "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart." A similar line of thought is occurring at NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan where Dari language course have begun.

 

In recent weeks, two new language courses have started at Camp Eggers, the NTM-A headquarters - a basic Dari conversation course for senior leaders and mentors, and "Qatra, Qatra," a basic Dari course for any interested coalition members.
