Japan to invite 4,334 young people from 36 countries under JET program

 

Japan is planning to invite 4,334 young people from 36 countries under its exchange program in fiscal 2010, chiefly to assist as language instructors in primary and secondary schools run by local governments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said Friday.
    
Of the total, 3,974 will come to assist in foreign language teaching, while 354 will be assigned to the international exchange units of local governments. Six will be engaged in sports exchange activities.
