Teaching primary pupils a second language is "inspirational"
Bilingual teaching in primary schools can prove "inspirational" for pupils, an expert at Cambridge University believes.
After learning about different approaches employed at schools overseas during the English for Schools 2010 conference in the city, an academic at the university's ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) examination wing has praised the benefits of introducing pupils to learning a second language at a young age.
Dr Mike Milanovic said the practice could bring major economic benefits for the UK.
