Chinese to speak Gujarati in US
A group of 50 students, made up Mexicans, Chinese, Russians and Americans, will soon be able to converse in Gujarati without stepping foot in Gujarat. Even as Gujarat celebrates its golden jubilee year, undergraduate students will be able to take up Gujarati as a foreign language at Indiana University in the US.
Venu Mehta, a lecturer at Charotar University of Science & Technology (CHARUSAT) will be teaching the students. This is perhaps the first time that Gujarati is being offered at this scale in a US university.
