NYS TESOL is currently inviting
submissions for the 42nd  Annual
Conference to be held at the Hilton Albany (formerly Crowne Plaza Albany) from
November 2-3, 2012. This year’s conference theme is “Many Voices, Multiple Pathways to English Language
Learning Success”, and presenters are invited to submit proposals to share and
discuss ideas related to this theme within the following categories:








Adult Education, Applied Linguistics, Bilingual
Education, Elementary Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, Special
Education, Teacher Education, Teaching English Internationally.




Presentation Formats:  Three types of presentation formats will
be independently reviewed.

 

*35-minute presentations (25-minute
paper presentation and 10-minute Q&A/discussion) on original research or
pedagogical practices related to TESOL.

 

*70-minute workshops and panel
discussions (including 10-minute Q&A/discussion).

 

*Poster presentations to be displayed
for a 2-hour block of time. Poster presentations are intended to be a format
for reports of work in progress.

 

Paper, workshop/panel discussion and
poster selection will be competitive. For all formats, preference will be given
to proposals related to the conference theme. Conference pre-registration is a
requirement for all presenters.

 

For submission, please include:

 

1. A 300-word summary of your
presentation

2. A 50-word abstract for the program
book

 

Please submit abstracts electronically
via http://www.nystesol.org. The submission deadline has been extended to June
15th, 2012. Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will be
sent via email by July 15th, 2012.
