Discussion: Bilingualism and Language Policy in the US

Dear Edling list members,

Thank you to all those who participated in the discussion about English
Requirement for Naturalization in the US question that I raised about  two
weeks ago. Your  postings  and recommendations of some key readings
regarding this subject are much appreciated.

As an African proverb states " The river is crooked because there was no
guideline to follow by the time it began its course." Let hope that with
optimism and dedication in our respective fields, we can provide fresh
insight to the public and the future generation of scholars since we all
want to live in a world of social justice, human right and dignity.
