Obituary: Leo van Lier

Dear Lynn,

Leo will be greatly missed by the worldwide scholarly community in 
educational linguistics and applied linguistics.  His wisdom, voice of 
reason, impeccable scholarship, and ever-thoughtful contributions 
through research, teaching, mentoring, and editing are a model for all 
of us to emulate.
