The Colombian Applied Linguistics
Journal, CALJ, is a peer-reviewed publication published by Universidad
Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, in Bogotá, Colombia. It is mainly concerned
with disseminating completed and outgoing research, pedagogical innovations and
theoretical reviews relevant to the field of applied linguistics and language
education.

CALJ is intended to inform the local, national and international
community of educators interested in research on English as a foreign language
education and on second/foreign language acquisition. The journal follows three
main research lines: language teachers’ education and professional development,
literacy processes in two languages and discourse studies in educational
contexts.

CALJ would like to invite all to participate in the next issues
scheduled for 2015-2016. 
All articles must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems platform, http://revistas.udistrital.edu.co/ojs/index.php/calj. All authors need to register in order to submit their papers. In
addition, they can log in and keep track of their manuscripts. If any
difficulties are presented in the submission process, please do not hesitate in
writing to caljournal at yahoo.com, where you will get
the assistance needed.

The Colombian Applied Linguistics Journal has been indexed in Education Research Abstracts (ERA), Modern Language Association Bibliography
(MLA), Latindex, SciELO Colombia, Redalyc, Ulrich’s Periodicals, EBSCO
