*Position*: The Applied Linguistics and TESOL Program at Teachers 
College, Columbia University invites applications for a lecturer 
position with a specialty in PreK-12 language pedagogy, *beginning in 
Spring 2019*. The position is renewable, subject to performance review 
and program needs.


*Responsibilities*: Teach graduate courses in TESOL PreK-12 pedagogy 
such as methods and supervised student teaching as well as other courses 
in the broad area of language teaching pedagogy including the teaching 
of writing and technology-mediated language instruction. The teaching 
load is five, three-credit courses in the academic year with the 
possibility of teaching up to two summer courses for extra pay. The 
candidate will need to advise M.A. students, serve on dissertation 
committees, participate in routine program administrative activities, 
maintain fieldwork relations, and build and retain a research and 
professional profile in TESOL and Applied Linguistics.

*Qualifications*: Earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a 
closely related field, a record of successful ESL/EFL teaching 
experience preferably in the U.S. PreK-12 settings, a demonstrated 
record of graduate level teaching and teacher training in PreK-12, and 
the ability to work collaboratively.
