[Edling] New Research Special Interest Group: Test-taker Insights in Language Assessment (TILA)

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the formation of the Test-taker Insights in
Language Assessment (TILA) SIG.

TILA was approved by ILTA Board in April 2021, with a mission to:

·      lead and support academic activities by providing a forum to
substantively and critically advance scholarship on designing, developing,
and using language tests and assessments that center the voices of
test-takers and language learners.

·      promote critical, grounded inquiry orientations in language testing
and assessment research through fostering transdisciplinary, transnational
collaborations.

·      increase public and academic understandings of test-takers’ and
language learners’ perspectives to the benefit of test-takers through
formal and informal meetings, presentations, discussions, and publications.

TILA SIG is co-chaired (listed alphabetically) by:
