[Edling] GURT 2021 - Online Language Learning and Teaching

Hello,

For almost 70 years, Georgetown University has held an annual Round Table
(GURT) focusing on Linguistics. This year, like 2020, it will be a virtual
conference and will be held on March 4-5, 2021. Because you participated in
GURT 2020, we’re writing to invite you to register for GURT 2021.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, foreign and second language researchers,
administrators, teachers, learners and parents have all been grappling with
the shift from face-to-face to online language instruction. Multiple
perspectives from research and practice are needed to shed light on the
challenges and affordances of the myriad and complex ways in which
computer-mediated instruction impacts learning. GURT 2021 will bring
together plenary speakers and invited panels from a broad range of areas to
examine these issues as they apply to online language learning, both in the
current COVID-era and beyond.
