Dear Peace Education SIG Members:



We are glad to share our Spring 2022 newsletter with you. Thanks to all for the contributions and to Zurisaray Espinosa and Thuy Tu for their amazing work as co-editors.



Please note we have a special guest speaker at our annual business meeting at AERA on Sunday in San Diego, a Nahua faculty member who will deliver a talk about education for peace among Nahua Indigenous community members. She is dynamic and fascinating—we hope you will come by and/or share the flier broadly with anyone who may be attending AERA. You will also see her commentary here in the newsletter. The leadership team agreed unanimously to invite her as our guest speaker many months ago, and it has been a collective effort to help her get her visa and host her. Let me (Sue) know if you’d like to meet her independently to my email at skasun at gsu.edu<mailto:skasun at gsu.edu> (happy to help you do this!). Three of our leadership members are Spanish speakers (thank you, Sandra Candel, incoming Secretary and leadership member Raúl Fregoso Bailón).
