Language learners worldwide continue to choose Ukrainian to express
solidarity - Duolingo

More and more people around the world are learning Ukrainian as a symbol of
solidarity following Russia’s aggressive war of conquest, as is evidenced
by Duolingo’s 2023 statistics.

The popular language learning app referenced the sharp uptick in language
learners, noting that more than 1 in 3 (37%) of new users worldwide that
are learning Ukrainian are motivated by a desire for effective
communication and a show of solidarity.
