Dear Colleagues,
Fares Karam (University of Nevada, Reno) and Amber Warren (Vanderbilt
University) are soliciting chapter submissions for a new edited
volume, *Criticality,
Dialogism, and Advocacy in Online Language Teacher Education*. Although
these concepts have been highlighted as a crucial part of preparing future
language teachers, more research is needed to inform our understanding of
how they can be fruitfully leveraged to support teacher learning
specifically in online language teacher education (OLTE). This call seeks
contributions that explore the intersection and integration of criticality
and dialogism to engage in and foster advocacy through OLTE, with a
particular emphasis on advancing scholarship that addresses ethics-related
tensions that may arise as part of this work.
We invite interested colleagues to view the full call,

and to share a chapter title, 50–100-word biography for each author, and a
500-word abstract by *December 15, 2024*. The manuscript is intended to be
a part of the *Critical Approaches in Applied Linguistics* book series
published by De Gruyter Mouton and edited by Dr. Neta Avineri, pending
positive peer review.
For questions, please feel free to reach out: Fares Karam (fkaram at unr.edu)
and Amber Warren (amber.warren at vanderbilt.edu). Thank you!
