[Edling] Invitation to our first International LatinCALL 2024 Online Conference

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to our first LatinCALL Online International Conference: CALL Challenges and New Horizons in the Age of AI, which takes place virtually, 9-10 November 2024. At a time when AI is having an unprecedented effect on education and challenging foreign language teaching and learning in ways never imagined, it is important for CALL educators to take stock and consider from where CALL has come, where it is at present, and where it will go in the future. To this end, the theme of the inaugural LatinCALL conference is CALL - challenges and new horizons in the age of AI. CALL is so much more than AI, and this conference is a call to embrace that while acknowledging AI's enormous effect too.

The LatinCALL24 Conference organizing committee welcomes contributions (in Spanish, English, and Portuguese) that concern rationale, theories, pedagogies, and best practices with the use of technology for first/second/foreign language teaching and learning.
