Dear Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Racial Justice in Multilingual Education (RJME), a new open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarship, practice, and advocacy at the intersections of race, language, and education.
Our inaugural issue is now live! Inside, you’ll find:
* Research Spotlight – Breakthrough studies on racial justice in multilingual spaces.
* Policy & Advocacy – Policy briefs revisiting history and pushing for systemic change.
* Community Voices – Stories from classrooms and communities leading transformative work.
Our launch currently features online-only versions of each contribution. However, we are working on including downloadable pdfs at a later date. We will announce this update on our social media feed as soon as the downloadable materials are available.
RJME brings together scholars, educators, and community members to reimagine multilingual education grounded in racial justice. We invite you to:
* Read the inaugural issue for free →on our website: RJME.org<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://rjme.org__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!gJjoowQA-Ks9MJXyx33HOMtKDrL5LDWlrYumkHsl4TUHgx75OAIO6WQabyb5BHtqw7ctzKTCS0GfghSgwjk$> or on Manifold https://penn.manifoldapp.org/journals/rjme<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://penn.manifoldapp.org/journals/rjme__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!gJjoowQA-Ks9MJXyx33HOMtKDrL5LDWlrYumkHsl4TUHgx75OAIO6WQabyb5BHtqw7ctzKTCS0Gfu8WmTdI$>
* Share the work with colleagues, teachers, and community partners and follow us on Instagram [@rjme_journal] and Bluesky [@rjme-journal].
* Join the movement by enrolling in the listserv.
We hope RJME becomes a space where knowledge, practice, and community converge to advance liberatory, justice-centered approaches to multilingual education.
In solidarity,
The RJME Editorial Team
