Touchscreen input

We are trying to run an experiment that would ideally take touchscreen
input.  This feature is not supported by the folks at PST, but I was
wondering if anyone has found a way to have good input given by the
subject somehow pointing at the screen.  My greatest wish right now is
that I could find some sort of clear membrane keyboard that we could place
over the screen and map the keys on the keyboard to the regions of the
screen on which we would like to collect input.  Any ideas would be
appreciated.
